1970 C10 SWB / Roadster Shop Fast Track

Just getting underway on this all out build. Fast Track Chassis set to arrive mid January. Plans still in development, but thinking LS3 with Whipple (1000 HP) a T56 Mag Trans and all kinds of other cool stuff. My last Build was a 64 Fairlane K Code posted on this forum.

      Bed Construction

Really torn between wood / steel / lifting or just what to do with the raised bed floor. No hump in the middle for my truck. Name: 20210322_144627.jpg

      Bed Wrap Up

I think it turned out pretty sweet. Will powder coat decking down the road.

      Fuel Tank & Delivery?

Anybody want to share experience with custom fuel tank and delivery components? I need to buy a tank and pump for between the rails in the back and fuel a supercharged (Whipple) 1000 HP LS with Holley Dominator EFI. I have had mixed experiences in the past with tanks and pumps.

      Thanks!!!

I'm waiting on my Rick's tank at the moment with twin 525 pumps. Doing a return-less system from vaporworx. Similar setup, Fastrack under a 56 bel air with Wegner 1Khp whipple motor. I'm not sure what the typical lead time is for Rick's, but I'm passing 9 weeks at the moment.

I think they quoted 8-12 weeks at the moment. Into week 5 for mine.

      Found Mock up Engine

Been looking for awhile, found a 6.0 that will be perfect for mocking up the LS3 (Whipple 1000Hp). I hate having a new motor sitting in a project for a couple years before it ever starts. Name: 20210103_120756.jpg

Yes that is the plan right now. Thinking of repaint on the white only and inside the hood.

      Progress

Got some mockup wheels under the C10 (37" at top of bedsides) and started figuring out the bed floor build. Name: 20210425_124702.jpg
