That specific car never existed. It was impossible to get a 350 with a manual trans from the factory. Swapping a bigger motor into a 305 car that was a manual or swapping a manual into a 350 car isn't that hard though. LS swaps are getting much easier to do now too.

The outside of Austin's ICE9 car is out standing! I just don't like the full blown race interior.
our cars have an interior that leaves a bad taste, that screams 80's! 1st and 2nd gens have a definite era but they are more timeless in the flow. then there is the 3rd gen, the designer must have been pissed at GM and only used a strait edge.

I piked up a 04 GTO dash and consul. I still toss the idea of a cage, I just don't know if I could tuck it in tight enough.

Here is the 1989 Camaro RS the wife and I bought new, just sold it last year. It was an RS 305/5-speed and over the 20+ years we owned it it received 2 more engines and transmissions, 6 paint jobs, 3 different suspension set-ups, and tons of other little bits & pieces. As sold it was finally a really nice driving car but it took years to get there!! I stuck with OEM wheels after I removed the big brake package I made from C5 Corvette parts.

Here is an awesome one that was being built on thirdgen.org but apparently something happened and it was dismantled...

Has this question been answered yet? I'm thinking the cars are just not cool enough yet. 2nd gens went through a similar phase of "unworthy" until they aged and became cool. With time 3rds will get there. I gotta believe now is the time to buy and sit on these cars.

Considering how cheap and plentiful 3rd gen's and their parts are I'd like to see more built as Road Race cars.

      Hello Everyone,

I thought I would share one of our 3rd gen builds on this thread as well. We did this car this spring, it was a time stressed car and was built in a 4 month period. The car is owned by Chris and Mark Houser, Chris is our Marketing and Advertising director here and Mark is the General Manager of our shop. The car was Chris's first car and she bought it back in 1986, she sold it and bought it back a few years ago. More pictures can be found on our Facebook page in the link below.

      Thanks for looking!

Is the right front tire backwards? Looks like there should be left and right specific tires with that tread pattern.

      Nice build UMI!
